The Age of Embers

Before the coast had a name, the three grease titans shattered the Ember of First Dawn and hid its shards in their palaces. As Sir Crouton the First, roam a living overworld — villages, wild roads, shrines, and the sea — from above, Zelda II style. Wandering horrors pull you into side-scrolling battles; shrines grant heart containers and relic weapons; villages heal you and sell armor for coin. Storm the Palace of the Boiling Deep, the Hoarfrost Palace, and the Usurper's Ziggurat — each sealed until you hold the previous Embershard, each ending in a titan. Slain foes leak mana for your three spells (C casts, V chooses). Reforge the Ember at the Sunrise Altar.
